    شاخص ‏های عددی و شاخص‎های غیرعددی دو گروه از مهم­ترین و پرکاربردترین شاخص‎های ارزیابی تنوع زیستی در جوامع مختلف هستند. با این وجود کارایی و انتخاب آنها در بوم­ سازگان­ های مختلف همواره یکی از مباحث چالش برانگیز بوم­ شناسی بوده است. در  این مطالعه،  شاخص­ های عددی تنوع، غنا و یکنواختی گونه­ ای و نیز مدلهای توزیع فراوانی-رتبه تنوع گونهای شامل عصای شکسته، لوگ نرمال، سری لگاریتمی و سری هندسی به­ عنوان شاخصهای پارامتریک به تفکیک برای گونه ­های  علفی و چوبی در شرایط فیزیوگرافی مختلف بوم­ سازگان­ جنگلی زاگرس محاسبه شد. نتایج نشان داد که از نظر شاخص­ های عددی تنوع بین موقعیت­ های مختلف فیزیوگرافی تفاوت معنیداری وجود دارد، به ­طوریکه تنوع شانون وینر و غنای مارگالف گونه ‏های علفی در جهت شمالی روند مشابهی داشته و  بیشترین مقدار این شاخصها در شیب 0-25 درصد بود و مقدار آنها با افزایش شیب کاهش یافت. در مقابل، تنوع و غنای گونه‏ های چوبی در جهت جنوبی و در شیب­ بیش از 50 درصد بیشترین بود. نتایج نشان داد که در تمامی موقعیت­ ها، توزیع فراوانی گونه های علفی بیشتر از مدل سری هندسی که نشان­ دهنده جوامع با تنوع پایین و شکننده است. در مورد توزیع گونه­ های چوبی نتایج نشان داد که مدل سری هندسی و عصای شکسته به ترتیب برای جهت دامنه شمالی و جنوبی بهترین مدل بودند.
